Managing Director
Raunak Gupta is a Managing Director and a member of the Asia Private Equity, Credit & Infrastructure investment team. He is based in India.
Prior to joining TRG in December 2013, he was a member of the Citi Venture Capital International (CVCI) investment team from 2010. From 2005 to 2010, Mr. Gupta worked in the investment banking arms of Rabo Bank and Motilal Oswal where he was involved in multiple transactions across capital markets (debt / equity), debt (including structured / distressed situations) and private equity advisory transactions. During his time as a private equity professional, Mr. Gupta has made investments in both minority / control situations and has been involved in the entire lifecycle from a portfolio perspective – investment, strategic value addition / monitoring and securing significant partial / full exits.
Mr. Gupta earned an Engineering degree from IIT Delhi and an M.B.A. degree from IIM Calcutta. He is fluent in English and Hindi.
