Even as most economic sectors were shut down to control the pandemic, forestry was deemed "essential" and continued to operate uninterrupted. In addition to the intuitive advantage of work taking place for the most part outdoors, the sector also overwhelmingly benefited from the increased demand for consumer staples such as toilet paper.
