The Rohatyn Group (“TRG”) is pleased to welcome General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer Jay Cohen to the TRG Partnership.

Over the course of his tenure at the firm, Mr. Cohen has overseen the evolution of TRG’s legal and compliance group to reflect the growth of the firm into a fully diversified asset manager, as well as the significant increase in regulatory complexity globally.  He has also advised on a number of transformative transactions, most recently the acquisition of Citi Venture Capital International.

Mr. Cohen is responsible for the legal aspects of TRG’s corporate and investment strategies and directs the structuring and formation of new products.  He also manages the firm’s relationships with global regulators and oversees the firm’s global compliance program.  Mr. Cohen joined TRG in March 2010 as Assistant General Counsel, assuming responsibility for the firm’s compliance department in February 2012 and the legal department in January 2013.  He is based in New York.
